From Job Sites to the DIY Playbook

My story starts like most tradespeople: building forts, fixing things that shouldn't have been broken, and learning the value of craftsmanship from my grandfather — do it right the first time or don’t do it at all.

By the early ’90s, I moved from modular home construction into full-scale framing and whole-house remodels. Eventually, I found my lane in kitchens and bathrooms — where creativity, function, and problem-solving meet.

Over 30+ years, I saw the same patterns: blown budgets, stalled remodels, “temporary fixes” becoming permanent, and homeowners who were never given a real plan. The problem wasn’t effort — it was lack of guidance.
